‘SING A PEACE’ (Act I, Song 1)
Benjamin Franklin, sent to London to speak with the King’s Privy Council upon political (and revolutionary) matters between Britain and her colonies, still believes that the two may meet, in regard to the common ground and affection they still have for one another. It is an unlikely sentiment, but one Franklin finds worthy pursuing.
